Hike for Hospice Set for April 28
The annual Hike for Hospice to benefit Ohio’s Hospice of Fayette County will be Sunday, April 28, 2019, at 3 pm. Proceeds from the event will benefit patient and family services for the not-for-profit, community-based Ohio’s Hospice of Fayette County.
The 3-mile walk will be held rain or shine and will begin and end at Merchant’s National Bank (128 S. North St., Washington Court House, Ohio 43160).
Registration
Event T-shirts are provided to all preregistered teams and individual walkers registered by April 12. After this date, T-shirts are not guaranteed. The registration fee is $14 for adults and $10 for youth. The fee includes an event T-shirt, pizza and drink following the walk. Those who wish to do so can make a donation and receive a T-shirt without participating in the walk.

All hikers, competitive or noncompetitive, are encouraged to obtain donations for their participation in this annual event. Donations can be used to pay for registration fees.
Award Categories
Hike for Hospice participants can compete in a variety of award categories including:
- Team with the most hikers (adult)
- Team with the most hikers (youth)
- Team with the most money raised
- Individual with the most money raised
- Most FEET sold by an individual
Teams and individuals must be registered, and all donations turned in by Wednesday, April 24, to count toward final standing for awards.
Memory Walk Display
Hike for Hospice will include a Memory Walk display as part of the route, which will include signs purchased in memory or honor of a loved one. A $6 donation per name is requested for Memory Walk signs. Orders can be placed at the office of Ohio’s Hospice of Fayette County. Participation in Hike for Hospice is not required for purchase of a memory sign. Memory Walk signs can be removed and kept as a keepsake following the event.
