Where Do Volunteers Fit In?
Ohio’s Hospice of Fayette County works as a team. We provide 24/7 services to our patients through our clinical and support departments. Volunteers help in all departments and we could not function without them. You can help make a difference.
How Can I Volunteer?
– Home visits: Visit with our patients in their home. This could mean watching t.v. with someone, be a friendly voice to speak with or ear to listen, playing games, giving caregivers time off and patients a safe time to rest. Our home visit volunteers are much needed and much loved by our patients and their families.
– Skilled Nursing Facility visits (SNF visits): Visit with residents one on one at a SNF, visit our patients who live in a SNF, help activity directors with games or activities.
– Bereavement team: Hospice of Fayette County provides a 13-month bereavement program for those affected by a loss. Our volunteers help by sending mailings to those in the program or making calls.
– Office help: Come to the Hospice of Fayette County office and help with a variety of duties.
We provide any and all training that you may need as an Ohio’s Hospice of Fayette County volunteer!
